Features Bodentier hoch 4
Your head in the clouds, your feet in the mud: Would you like to discover nature in your area and preferably without a backpack full of books on your back?
Interactive identification apps are not only trendy with birds, butterflies & Co., from now on you will also be able to immerse yourself in the supposedly hidden life of much smaller animals!
The BODENTIER hoch 4 app invites you and everyone who still wants to become nature enthusiasts to EXPERIENCE, RECOGNIZE, CAPTURE and EXPLORE ground animals.Important: The determination of soil animals, especially up to the species, requires a certain familiarization with the body structure of the animals and the technical terms.
We have tried to make this easier for you by illustrating important features of the identification key.
Nevertheless, we are aware that the app needs further improvements and simplifications in order to enable all interested parties to get started with the identification of soil animals.
We therefore expressly ask you to give us a FEEDBACK on the app with suggestions for improvement.
You are welcome to use the following link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/14-Qjxpsvu6uXARas0QOVU7xlhi-Bpqycal_pX7GdvrQ/edit#.
We look forward to every constructive feedback and hope to be able to make the app navigation and identification keys even more intuitive and user-friendly in the medium term.Informative profiles reveal a lot about the often tiny and fascinating animals in the ground.
If you find a soil animal on the way in the garden, on a walk in the woods or in the school yard, you can determine it more precisely with the interactive identification key and many illustrations: By selecting a few characteristics, it quickly becomes clear which larger group it belongs to.
Domestic LANDASSELN, DOPPELFOSSER and HUNDERTFESSER can be determined step by step via integrated characteristic filters down to the species.
The app, which is limited to features that can be seen with the naked eye or through the use of simple optical aids (e.g.
magnifying glass), is supplemented by the online portal (https://bodentierhochvier.de/) with a lot of additional information. You can not only document your own finds and photos of receipts in your personal find list, but also report them to a team of experts along with the information about the location.
After an examination, they release your discovery report in the research database (https://portal.edaphobase.org/) so that your observations contribute directly to the research of soil animals. The app offers:- Illustrated, interactive identification keys- Comprehensive species profiles for the 260 indigenous Landassel, double-legged and centipede species- Search function for quick finding of a species- Offline function- Easily create your own found lists with photos of the documents- Automatic acquisition of the coordinates of the location and display of the location using the devices GPS.- The possibility of reporting your own findings to a research database. The BODENTIER hoch 4 app was created at the Senckenberg Museum für Naturkunde Görlitz as part of the joint project "museum4punkt0 - digital strategies for the museum of the future".
